A Family was Born On This Farm: A Farmhouse Wedding

Sarah and Joe

For Sarah and Joe, their marriage was not just about the two of them. With this being both their second marriages, they came into this union with more experience, wisdom, meaning, and children. This day created a family of four, and every aspect of this wedding was about people coming together. Not the glitz and glam.

You hear about brides-to-be being teary-eyed over their wedding dress, "the one." For Sarah, she experienced those emotions when stepping inside Ashton Farm, a couple of paces away from Sarah. This property has Hunterdon County's oldest farmhouse and the remnants of the historical Clinton highway. Horses grace some of the fields, next to a large pond and willow tree overlooking the mountains.

For the ceremony, Sarah and Joe got married with the view of the mountains behind them. What made the ceremony special was that Joe's sons were part of the bridal party, and Sarah gave a special speech dedicated to them. Upon being announced as husband and wife, the officiant introduced them to the crowd as the Fullam family. The two sons walked down the aisle first, paving the way for Sarah and Joe.

After a touching ceremony, the reception was in full swing inside the barn. The Pros played country music while their photographer, Hugh, was there to capture all the moments. The barn housed a seating chart made of wine bottles, simple yet elegant display of baby's breath, and his and hers wine glasses. Outside, Sarah and Joe provided a cigar bar and cornhole boards for the guests to sign. Jean Claude provided a large variety of foods for guests to enjoy, with guests coming back for seconds and thirds. They even manned a s'mores bar for guests after dinner.

Sarah and Joe are a reminder that weddings do not have to be showy. Family is the priority, and every guest is a family member to them. Even their maid of honor and best man provided touching speeches, proving family goes beyond blood. It was such a joy to coordinate their day and be part of their wedding journey. Cheers to the Fullam family!
