From Prom Dates to Soulmates: Katie and Amir's Farm Wedding

Katie and Amir were high school sweethearts. After years of being together, these former prom dates just walked down the aisle as bride and groom.

For the venue, they chose Born to Run Farm. What I truly love about this place is that it is one of the most self sufficient farm venues I have seen. They keep as much as they can in-house without the heavy reliance on rental companies. This includes the tables and chairs, luxury bathroom trailers, outdoor tent, chandelier, outdoor ceremony arch, and cocktail trailer. The most stunning part about this venue is its gorgeous view of the New Jersey mountains.

Katie, a fellow creative soul, used her artistic eye to truly jazz up the farm's tent. She enlisted the help of Kelsea from Greens & Beans to add greenery to the ceiling and flowers to the vine-embellished chandelier. For the tables, Kelsea and Katie took advantage of the eclectic mix of long and round tables by adding large centerpieces for the round tables and scattered bud vases for the long tables. For behind the sweetheart table and DJ booth, she added a pipe and drape background with a neon sign.

For guests, Katie and Amir truly accommodated those of all ages. For the children, they set up a long table with a large coloring sheet, a play tent, card games, sunglasses, and lots of books. For the adults, Katie and Amir made a temporary tattoo station. As for the guest book, they used After the Tone for guests to record voice messages. As a take-home favor, everyone could take flower seeds to let love grow.

With the music for the reception, there was more than just a DJ. Elegant Music Group brought in an additional guitarist and drummer to accompany the songs. The guitarist interacted with the guests by putting himself out on the dance floor. Everyone was very entertained when he rocked out those crazy guitar solos.

These high school sweethearts had a beautiful wedding that not only celebrated their enduring love, but also those who supported them along the way. Katie and Amir were such a joy, and I'm thrilled that I was able to help them with their farm wedding. The love, creativity, and love of others shined through in their wedding.
