Lakeside Wedding Rooted in Faith
For Joe and Joyce, faith brought them together. It is the foundation for their life and the journey they will face together as husband and wife. Faith was the true theme of their wedding, and they successfully carried it through the entire wedding day.
For the ceremony, it was a union between their two church communities at Willow Grove Presbyterian. To compliment the aesthetic and color palette of the church, they picked up flowers from Ling's Moment for the altar pieces, welcome sign swag, and aisle pieces. One of their close friends played the piano, welcoming guests and the bridal party through the ceremony. After the "I-do's" Joe and Joyce made it a priority to make sure all the guests were photographed, so they can remember who attended. Hungry guests were then welcomed to a wide array of pastries and lunch boxes, courtesy of Paris Baguette. As guests were making their way to the reception, Joe and Joyce got some lovely photos by some cherry blossom trees at Sayen Gardens.
In the blink of an eye, the reception was in full swing. Guests were welcomed to their tables with centerpieces made by Joe and Joyce, and set up by their friends and family. To set their wedding apart, they provided a game table, where guests can make origami, play board games, and take pictures with an Instax. The maid of honor and best man hosted the event. They kept guests engaged with moderating a trivia game, making announcements, and giving heartfelt speeches with a touch of humor. Similar to the ceremony, Joe and Joyce made sure that every guest—over 160 of them—was acknowledged for their support and attendance. The reception truly demonstrated how a wedding is not all about the glitz and glam, but really about people who make it special.
In addition to their wedding, I just want to give a major shout out to who what they do as people and how they contribute to society. I truly commend them for working in the medical centers during the COVID outbreaks, doing the best they can to keep everyone safe. After the long hours and crazy shifts, I still see the two with smiles on their faces, grateful for all the good in their lives. Cheers to a long and prosperous marriage, Joe and Joyce.
