Restaurant Takeover
What happens when you love a restaurant so much? You make it your wedding venue! Daniella and Rigo hired me to take care of the entire wedding, from the finding the right vendor team to helping transform the Americana Kitchen and Bar into a wedding venue. We worked closely together every step of way. The wedding itself was originally slated for January 2022, but COVID affected some family members, postponing to April. The change of dates and season actually worked out in everyone's favor.
One of the back rooms of the restaurant was transformed into the ceremony space. The piece de resistance, the fireplace, was flanked with lovely florals. Leading up to the fireplace, mercury lanterns on wooden coasters flanked the aisles. Lydia from Love and Light officiants conducted a lovely and heartfelt ceremony for Daniella and Rigo, leaving guests truly touched. Guests were then welcomed to half the restaurant by the bar as the cocktail hour space. Due to the wonderful weather, guests could opt to relax in Americana's outdoor patio space.
For the reception, guests migrated to the other private space of the restaurant. It was dressed to the nines and had a lovely back wall filled with fun vases and decorations. The restaurant's aesthetic matched Daniella and Rigo's theme: whites, neutrals, reds, and wooden elements. Keeping things casual, the couple opted for an Instax-centered photo booth, where the photos were placed onto a canvas with clips for the bride and groom to take home as a souvenir. Outside of the reception room, Americana made space for the most delectable arrangement of desserts, including a macaron tower! Yum! The guests definitely had their plates full beyond the cake.
Overall, Daniella and Rigo had a dream-come-true of a wedding. Their favorite restaurant transformed into a fully-blown wedding venue, paving the way for prospective couples to come. Most importantly, their event became a true joining of two families and a reunion for those who have come from afar. Truly wish Daniella and Rigo the most wonderful of marriages and an amazing life together.
