Under the Stars

A planner's joy is seeing a couple take on a theme and embrace it. For Allie and Ryan, they pursued a celestial, under the stars theme. They were inspired by Renaissance and Lunar Fairs as a starting point. Opting out of the traditional whites and blushes, they went for a bold color palette: blues, purples, and brilliant pinks. The tables were topped with lunar table numbers, domed vases similar to the rose case found in Beauty and the Beast, Moravian stars, and soaring centerpieces. Guests were literally "under stars" with vines, lights, and stars hanging from the ceiling.

To add some dimension to their day, they elaborated on what a guest would normally expect from the music and coffee. On top of hiring a DJ, they hired a drummer to strum along to the music the DJ provided. Towards the end of the evening, they hired a coffee caterer to create some artisanal hot beverages. To pay homage to their love of music, guests were encouraged to sign records instead of the traditional guest book.
